Peninsula Credit Union is part of the CO-OP Shared Branch network, and this network recently passed Chase in the number of branch locations across the country. CO-OP Shared Branch now has 5,671 branch locations just ahead of Chase who has 5,567 branches as of July 18th, 2017. The CO-OP Shared Branch network is now less than 500 branches away from the nation’s largest Wells Fargo, who has 6,150 branches. “Providing our members access to the second largest branch network in the country extends our local service wherever our members might be.”…”In addition, the CO-OP Network Surcharge free ATM network allows our members access to nearly 30,000 ATM’s with no surcharge.” Said Jim Morrell Peninsula Credit Union president/CEO.
“Shared Branching is to credit union members what Uber is to passengers looking for a nearby ride.” Said Todd Clark, CO-OP Financial Services president/CEO. Credit Unions are all financial cooperatives, as part of a cooperative one of their operating principles is “Cooperation among Cooperatives.” This means we all share. Peninsula Credit Union members can walk into a Jetstream FCU branch in Miami Lakes Florida for example, and make a deposit or withdrawal free of charge from their Peninsula Credit Union account. The same is true at all 5,671 locations across the nation.
Peninsula Credit Union participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch network in all five of our locations; Shelton, Belfair, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, and Port Townsend.
