WOW Story: A Clear Path to a Confident Future

At our Port Townsend branch, a member came in feeling frustrated and unsure after being denied a loan at another financial institution. He hoped to finance a side-by-side utility vehicle using his paid-off car as collateral. Unfortunately, the car had a branded title, making it ineligible for use in the loan. While other lenders stopped there, our team looked for solutions.

Rather than turning him away, our staff asked more questions and explored alternative paths. He was open to using a co-signer—his first option didn’t work out, but the second did. Thanks to persistence and support from our team, he was able to secure the loan he needed. What made the moment even more meaningful was that he had been referred to us by a different credit union after they turned him down themselves.

He not only left with the financing he needed, but also a new financial home. He later returned to let us know how much the experience meant to him and how he was now recommending PCU to friends and family. It was a win not just for his purchase, but for his trust and financial future.
