What Makes Us Different

Peninsula is small enough to care, and big enough to help.

We know you have options when it comes to choosing who to bank with. Peninsula Credit Union may not be the biggest bank, and we’re okay with that. In fact, we’re proud to be small enough to care about our members and big enough to help. Whether you’re taking steps to recover from a tough time or getting ready for your next big step, Peninsula will be right there beside you.

We’re proud to call the Olympic Peninsula our home.

A part of the community

We’re a local credit union committed to serving our local communities.

Our doors are open

We like to say “yes” even if no one else will. Great credit or poor credit—you’re welcome here.

We’ve got your best interests at heart

From our leadership to our staff, we’re dedicated to the well-being of our members.

About Peninsula Credit Union

Peninsula Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union, and we’re regulated by the National Credit Union Administration. We proudly serve Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam and Grays Harbor counties

We listen, we serve, we educate, we care…always

That’s our mission statement, and we live by it here at Peninsula. We’re conscious of our roots, mindful of our responsibilities, and energized by our mission to help our members navigate an increasingly complex financial world.

Founded in and dedicated to the Olympic Peninsula

Peninsula Credit Union is one of the nation’s first community chartered member-owned credit unions. On September 19, 1935, the Rainier Pulp and Paper Company, Shelton, Washington, Federal Credit Union was created. Since that time other name changes have taken place as the charter has expanded. Today, Peninsula Credit Union serves more than 19,000 members. Our name has changed, but our mission has not—we still want to serve people who need it.

The Credit Union Difference

Credit Unions are good for you.

Bank almost anywhere

In addition to local branches and online and mobile banking, credit unions share thousands of branches and surcharge-free ATMs, meaning you have anytime access to your accounts.

Not-for-profit

Because we’re not-for-profit, our earnings are returned to you, our members, in the form of better rates, lower fees and free ATMs.

Caring, personal service

Credit unions are ranked as having the best service experience when compared to banks, and Peninsula is certainly no exception. We pride ourselves on our caring member service.

Credit Unions are also good for your local community.

Member-owned

Credit unions are member-owned and governed. We understand what you’re going through, and are dedicated to looking out for all of our members.

Dedicated to the health of our community

We invest in our community through a variety of activities, including high school financial education, community financial education, sponsorship of Relay for Life, and Peninsula Education Grants.

Committed to helping our members succeed

Credit unions are dedicated to the financial well-being of their members, and Peninsula provides each of our members with the tools and resources to make a fresh start and thrive.
