A member in Port Townsend recently passed away, and her brother, Paul, visited our branch, unsure of how to handle her outstanding auto loan. He was unsure of the process required to gain access to his sister’s account. While assisting him, our team discovered that she had opted for payment protection on her loan. This meant that the remaining balance would be fully covered, removing a major financial burden for Paul and the rest of her surviving family. When we shared the news with him, Paul was overwhelmed with gratitude, relieved that he didn’t have to worry about making the payments during such a difficult time.
